Paresh Rawal Set to Rejoin Hera Pheri 3? Lawyer Hints at Resolution After Akshay Kumar Dispute

Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, has issued a legal notice to veteran actor Paresh Rawal following his sudden withdrawal from Hera Pheri 3. According to Pooja Tidke, Joint Managing Partner at Parinam Law Associates, Rawal has not yet responded to the notice, which demands ₹25 crore in damages. Despite the escalating legal tension, the production team remains hopeful for a resolution.
Speaking to PTI, Pooja said, “There could be serious legal consequences. The franchise has taken a hit. We informed him that his abrupt exit involves significant legal implications, considering the expenses already incurred on cast, crew, senior actors, logistics, and even trailer shoots.”
She further explained that a portion of the film—approximately three and a half minutes—had already been filmed. “Out of the blue, we received a notice from Paresh ji stating he’s no longer part of the project. It left everyone shocked,” she added.
The legal row has caused reputational damage not just to the film but also to the actors committed to it. Still, Pooja emphasised they are optimistic about a possible reconciliation.
Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty recently told E24 that Paresh Rawal has agreed to meet him and discuss the matter. Shetty shared that he was deeply invested in the project, and Rawal’s exit was emotionally taxing for both him and Akshay Kumar.
Although there's no official confirmation of Rawal's return, the ongoing discussions and legal developments hint that the door may not be fully closed.
